In this image we see the following objects for consideration:
This is Luther's depiction of the Jewish serpent [see image 18] about to be killed by the sword, which is powered by the 'STAR'. The STAR is in turn powered by the SUN, representative of Jesus. Notice that plate 18 and 45 depict the hair of the beast as red - indicating Esau, i.e. the Jews.

In the symbology of these images, according to the artist, the
SUN = JESUS
CRESCENT = MARY
[in this instance mother of Jesus]
STAR = SON OF JESUS

Crescent =  One who has been honored by the sovereign; hope of greater glory (horns to the chief), also signifies one who has been enlightened and honored.
Wheat-Ears = Faithful [ONE IS MISSING]
Fleur-de-lis = floral badge of France; represents sixth son, as mark of difference
Sun = Glory and splendour; fountain of life
Sword/Dagger/Dart Sword - Indicates the bearer to a just and generous pursuit of honor and virtue in warlike deeds.
