| Here we have the ribbon
scroll in corrected position [not inverted] with the wheel of
time/history shown to indicate time progressing forward. The 6-point
star represents the 'bright and morning star' = Jesus, and the small 3
shield-like images are the same ones that we see on plate42,
they represent the 3 children of Jesus. The Lion and the Sun are also
Jesus. This image is saying that he is the bright and morning star, the
sun, and the lion of Judah. The Zodiacal sign of Leo is ruled by the
Sun, which is represented by a Lion. This images has to do with the
sign of Leo. The sign of Leo also deal with children, and the three
children of Jesus are depicted in the 3 tombstone symbols. The artist is
conveying the message regarding the children of Jesus, which are ruled
by the 5th house of the Zodiac and the sign Leo, which is ruled by the
Lion. |
In heraldry, a motto is often depicted on a [ribbon]
scroll indicating an achievement of arms, typically below the shield, HOWEVER, IT IS SHOWN ABOVE THE CREST IN SCOTTISH
