Daniel's 70 Weeks God speaks to Daniel concerning the House of JUDAH Daniel 9:24-27 [King James Version] "Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to
finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make
reconciliation for iniquity and to bring in everlasting righteousness
and to seal up the vision and prophecy and to anoint the most Holy (the 2nd
TEMPLE)."
God, via the Angel, gives the Kingdom of Judah 490 years to accomplish everything outlined in the 70 weeks. From King David to the restored 2nd Temple, anointing of the Temple, and restoring the city of Jerusalem. They were commanded to make an end of sins. "Know therefore and understand that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to (re)build Jerusalem FROM the Messiah the Prince (DAVID) shall be seven weeks and threescore and two weeks (69): the street shall be built again and the wall even in troublous times." From King David on the throne up to the time that the command would go forth from King Cyrus, would be to rebuild the Temple was 483 years. "And after threescore and two weeks (62) shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself; the people of the prince (Nebuchadnezzar II) that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood and unto the end, war and desolations are determined." From King David to the time when Judah's royal lineage to the throne would be cut off, was to be 434 years. The sacrifices would end, Jerusalem and Temple destroyed. The Southern Kingdom of Judah had ended. "And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate." God made a one week (7 year)* covenant with a remnant of Judah's people who were not captured or killed by Babylon. This covenant was not broken, but 3.5 years after the covenant was made with the remnant, God caused the sacrifice to cease, the male lineage to the throne to cease and the destruction of the Temple & city of Jerusalem to cease. Never again would the authentic Hebrew tribal members reign in the city of Jerusalem, nor would they have a 'Kingdom of Judah'. The northern Kingdom of Israel had been captured by Assyria in 917-921 BC. Those Israelite tribes were released in 616 BC when Babylon captured Assyria. The scattering of the northern tribes came at that time. (These were not the Jews nor the tribe of Judah at this time). * Re: One week covenant: God made a covenant with the remnant of Judah's people, young girls, the elderly of Judah's kingdom, called the remnant. This remnant were saved from Babylon's destruction. These are the remnant that were turned over to Jeremiah in 589 BC for safe passage to Egypt, and then on to the British Isles to join the northern tribes who fled in 616 BC. Included in Judah's remnant were the young daughters of Judah's royal family and others from among Judah's people. These daughters inherited Judah's throne in the Isles, upon which Queen Elizabeth today sits (originally written in 2008), now King Charles. When the remnant from Judah reached the Isles with Jeremiah's guidance, they ended up in Scotland. The Scottish people are predominantly from this remnant of Judah. |

Daniel's prophecy concerning the 70 weeks begins with the year that King David began his reign on the throne over the whole of Israel, all the twelve tribes . The prophecy starting with King David gave Judah's people a date that was known to them, which allowed them to figure out the time sequences that Daniel was putting forth. (see chart at right above). |
There are no Christians with blinders on
that can interpret Daniel's 70 weeks, for they would seek outcomes that
fit their narritive.
There are no Jews who can interpret Daniel's 70 weeks as they believe that they are the entire twelve tribes of Israel. Betty Matteson Rhodes has no pre-determined outcome for the prophesies, for it is only the truth she seeks. |
