2) Named after other relations [mother's maiden name,
grandparents, friends]
3) Names derived from physical characteristics [such as
Longfellow,Whiteman]
4) Names derived from personality
traits [such as Smiley, Doolittle]
5) Names derived from plays, drama, dreams, and memory
[such as MacBeth]
6) Names derived from literature [especially Biblical
literature, such as Davidson, Abrams]
7) Names derived from occupations
[such as Smith, Mason, Weaver]
8) Names derived from sayings, expressions, etc [such as
Merry, Jolly, Rich]
9) Names which indicate nationality or origin [such as
